This meeting has now passed.

This highly interactive symposium, in the format of a roundtable discussion, offers an opportunity to build a "new" evidence-based algorithm which highlights the different treatment steps for CD and UC, the choices now available, and expert-led guidance as to how to select from the various therapies at each step.

Anti-TNF therapies are well established for the management of IBD; however, despite this, a significant proportion of patients still fail to achieve disease remission during induction therapy, or lose initial response over time. Therapies are now available with novel mechanisms of action, giving the clinician alternative options for patients either before or after anti-TNF therapy. With more treatment options available, the challenge for clinicians now revolves around selecting and sequencing therapies to optimize patient outcomes.

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of gastroenterologists and registered nurses involved in the care of patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).
